- ‘Bonphool’ pure Natural Mangrove Honey is collected from mangrove forests of Sundarbans. It is an initiative supported by Sundarban Biosphere Reserve (Directorate of Forest, Government of West Bengal), West Bengal Cooperative Bank Ltd., Department of Panchayat & Rural Development, Government of West Bengal and WWF-India. Honey is collected by the Maulis (traditional honey collectors) and fishermen by sustainable apiary in the safe and protected camps of remote Sundarban mangrove forests. - Will help in saving the saving the lives of the traditional honey collectors and fishermen.
- Will contribute to conservation of Royal Bengal Tigers of Sundarbans.
- Will help in conservation of Sundarbans, which protects Bengal from cyclone.

- The entire profit from selling the honey will go to the account of the cooperative of Sundarban forest fringe fishermen and traditional honey collectors.

I chanced upon this after reading a Twitter thread by an IFS officer. Ordered it straightaway and have been ordering it ever since. The major issue or doubts were with regards to its consistency which was more free flowing than other honeys. I checked and read upon this and found that this is because of some climatic conditions and flowers that grow in the Sunderbans. It is a good buy.

First of all, the packaging is so good and fully secure the bottle. Honey tastes nice not too sugary like my previous one, but yet the sweetness will remain in your mouth for sometime, so I’m no expert in this field but overall I like the product. Also you will notice a flowery presence in its taste which I guess mentioned in their description too. Plus one more thing the customer care service is very helpful at least in my case ( got some issue in ordering ) they explained me so sweetly and patiently and solve my doubt.
